Well guys, as our MSU Bulldogsrest up, and prepare to get back to work during their bye week, there are a number of things that have to be going through the coaches' and players' minds. There's no doubt that a strong 7-2 start has Starkville running over with confidence, but a Nov. 13th date in Tuscaloosa with the #6 Crimson Tide, is an rude reminder that the 2010 season is far from over. With that said, Dan Mullen said something during his talk with Jack Cristil on his coach's show, that got me thinking. To paraphrase the 2nd year MSU coach, Mullen mentioned that he and his staff would spend this week evaluating areas that they can improve in, be it Offensively, Defensively, or on Special Teams. Along those same lines, Mullen mentioned examining what was working, and what wasn't working so far this season, and determining whether or not those items would be implemented for the remainder of 2010.
So considering what Mullen had to say, what are some things that you feel are important to address, improve on, scrap, or clean up, during this bye week? I'll share my mine tomorrow, but here's some starting points for you guys...
- Improvement on Defense? On Offense? Special Teams?
- Improved passing attack?
- More playing time for QB Tyler Russell?
- Different personnel utilization?
Please share your thoughts, opinions, and some details describing 'why' you feel that way.
* Yesterday, I mentioned that I added a new addition to the site. It's the SEC Digital Zone, which can be found on the right hand section of the site's design. It is a blue colored, box display, that houses all kinds of highlights for SEC Sports. You can even customize your search by team, and individual plays in games. This is a useful tool, that provides about 2 to 3 minutes of replay material and video for all SEC games. And it shows you what you want to see, without ever taking you off of my site. You can even watch interviews, from our Bulldog coaches. Try it out and let me know what yall think?------------>
